Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC) (Le Conseil Suprême Islamique de Canada) is a Canadian Muslim organization based in Calgary, Alberta. [http://www.islamicsupremecouncil.com/isccprofile.htm Profile of ISCC] , accessed 2008-07-27] The ISCC accepts members from all branches of Islam and has four major objectives: to propagate the teaching and observance of Islam, to support a Muslim house of worship, to proselytize Islam and to establish and operate an Islamic school.

According to the 2001 census, there were 579,640 Muslims in Canada, just under 2 percent of the population. The Association for Canadian Studies estimates that the Canadian Muslim population would have been 783,700 in 2006 and would be projected to reach 1.1 million in 2011 and 1.42 million by 2017, representing 4.5 percent of an expected 34.58 million population in 2017.
