Emporio ( _el. Εμπόριο, _bg. Емборе, Embore) is the capital of the
Mouriki municipality in theKozani Prefecture ,Greece . Population 1003 (2001).History
According to Ottoman document from 1626-1627, there were 71 christian households in the village in the first half of the 17th century. [Турски извори за българската история, т. VII, София 1986, с. 333 ] .

In 1913, after
Balkan Wars with the conditions of theTreaty of Bucharest this part of Macedonia became part ofGreece . Local Bulgarians were forced to become Greeks and were oppressed by Greek andartes.
