"Phoenix robellinii" or Pigmy Date Palm (sometimes spelled "robellini") is a species of flowering plant in the palm family, thought to have originated in Laos or Vietnam. The trunk ranges from 1 to 3 m in height, while the fronds are from 80 to 150 cm in length. It flourishes in a moist, humid climate and prefers diffuse bright sunlight.
