Peter Chintala

Dr Reverend Peter Lusaka Chintala was born in the Copperbelt Province in Zambia and graduated in 1990 from the Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, California with a Master of Arts degree in theology.cite news

Whilst Chairman and General Secretary of the Zambian Baptist Association, Chintala pastored two churches in Ndola, and in 1992 set up Free Baptist Churches of Zambia acting as President.

accessdate = 2008-08-18 ] and was appointed as Deputy Minister for Youth, Sport and Child Development. In 1994, the Board of Trustees of Biola University conferred upon Chintala a Doctorate of Divinity.

In 2001 he was appointed as Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development, after serving as First Deputy Minister for Christian and Religious Affairs in the State House.

On 5 March 2004, President of Zambia Levy Mwanawasa appointed Chintala, a member of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy as Ambassador of Zambia to Russia. He presented his credentials to President of Russia Vladimir Putin on 5 October 2004. [ru icon cite press release
