Columbia University in Oriental Studies, Arts and Language. She spent nights inNew York jazz clubs and found her way into records whenDee Dee Bridgewater recorded theRamsey Lewis instrumental "Tequila Mockingbird" with Seeman's lyrics.Larry Dunn ofEarth, Wind & Fire wrote the tune andGeorge Duke produced the record. This led to Roxanne's collaboration withPhilip Bailey ofEarth, Wind & Fire , with whom she penned, along withMaurice White and Eduardo del Barrio, "Sailaway", forEarth, Wind & Fire 'sFaces album. During this time,Carmine Coppola andItalia Pennino asked Roxanne to collaborate with them in developing themes from Carmine's movie scores into songs.
