"Manel Aperta O Cinto" "(Manuel, Pinch The Belt)" is the thirty-third and actual last studio album by Portuguese American singer/songwriter Jorge Ferreira, released in 2008 on Portuguese Music World in America and Espacial in Portugal.

With this album, Ferreira wanted to make an urgent appeal to the worldwide financial crisis which touches nowadays all countries of the globe. He speaks about the life of the emigrated workers who resist to difficulties of the daily and who receive a just sufficient wage to survive with the constraining obligation to "pinch the belt systematically", blending the nostalgic melodies of Portugal appearing in the instants of space to the soul of these persons. On this call to democracy, Ferreira united several friends who agreed to lend their voice by participating in some songs. Featured artists are Portuguese singer/songwriter José Reza, Portuguese folk singer and accordionist Augusto Canário from the band Augusto Canário e Amigos, and Portuguese Canadian female pop singer Jessica Amaro.
