William MacDonald (Christian author)

William MacDonald (January 7, 1917-December 25, 2007) was a prolific Christian author.

Biography

Early life and education

William Macdonald was born on January 7, 1917 in Leominster, Massachusetts. When he was six years old his family moved to Stornoway, Scotland. They later moved back to Massachusetts. He received a AB degree from Tufts College in 1938, a MBA from Harvard Business School in 1940.

Career

After graduation he was employed as an Investment Analyst at the First National Bank of Boston from 1940-1942. And on Active duty in the US Navy from 1942-1946. He then served as faculty of Emmaus Bible School from 1947-1965, and became President in 1959-1965. After 1965 he had a Bible Teaching ministry in the USA, Europe and Asia, 1965-1972In 1973 he became faculty of the Discipleship Intern Training Program, San Leandro, California till 1996. And then back to Bible Teaching and Writing ministry, from 1996 until his death.

Death and afterward

Macdonald died on December 25, 2007.

Works

During his lifetime William MacDonald wrote 84 published booksHe also wrote numerous magazine articles, short papers, and sermons.
