Pedro de Almada Pereira

Pedro de Almada Pereira (Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes, [Baptised in Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes, on October 14, 1835.] – Lisbon, May 24, 1911), was an Alentejan landowner, schoolmaster in Messejana and Aljustrel and journalist, Founder of the periodic "O Campo de Ourique", of which he was the owner, in 1872. He was a son of Tomé José Valério (b. Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes [Baptised in Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes, on December 30, 1810.] ), who lived and was a landowner in Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes, and wife (m. Aljustrel, Messejana) Maria Amância de Almada, who also used the name of Maria Amância Palma (b. Aljustrel, Messejana [Baptised in Aljustrel, Messejana, May 16, 1819.] ).

He married Margarida Francisca Camacho de Negreiros, who also used the surnames Lobo Bravo de Negreiros (b. Aljustrel, Aljustrel [Baptised in Aljustrel, Aljustrel, March 31, 1845.] ) [Sister of Priest Justino Lobo Bravo de Negreiros, Parish-Priest of Mombeja, and Ana Emília Bravo de Negreiros Lobo, Godfather and Godmother of their nephew António Lobo de Almada Negreiros.] , daughter of António Lobo Camacho (b. Aljustrel, Aljustrel [Baptised in Aljustrel, Aljustrel, on March 3, 1801.] ), an Alentejan landowner, and wife (m. Serpa) Ana Isabel Bravo de Negreiros (b. Serpa, Salvador [Baptised in Serpa, Salvador, on November 7, 1810.] ). They were the parents of António Lobo de Almada Negreiros.
