It is located in Greater Cairo at the Giza area, Egypt. It was built in 1911 by Mohammed Mahmoud Khalil Pasha. After the 1952 revolution it was gained by the government, also President Anwar El-Sadat used to live in it.
Now it is a museum of modern art. Among the great artists represented in the assets of Mohammed Mahmoud Khalil and his Wife Museum include Paul Gauguin, Auguste Renoir, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, John Jongkind and Charles Francois Daubigny.
