L.F.M. Memorial Academy

L.F.M.(Lawrence Franklin Mather) Memorial Academy is a private christian academy located in Miramichi, New Brunswick. It began in September 1999, under the direction of Shannon J. (Lyons) Mather and her late husband,Lawrence F.Mather under the name Ridgeway North Private Christian School.

The first location was located at the Mather's home , at 372 Rennie Road in Douglastown. Staff included, the Mathers, Cindy Diotte and Sabrina Matchett, who left in 2001. They remained their till 2001, when they moved to the former DL McLaren School, at the former CFB Chatham base on 39 PLC Lane. This building is still standing today. Finally in 2004, the Mathers moved to the Jubilee Christian Centre (formerly St Mary's Convent) located at 619 King George Highway in Newcastle. On May 24,2005 Ridgeway North's headmaster Lawrence F.Mather passed away at the age of 59. As a result, the school was right about to close after the loss of Lawrence Mather. Finally, the school moved back to their roots at 372 Rennie Road and they renamed the school to L.F.M. Memorial Academy, in honor of Lawrence Mather (1946-2005). Shannon Mather and Cindy Diotte still continue to work at the school today.

The school uses the Alpha Omega curriculum books "Lifepacs", Spectrum study books in studies.
