The Crowd Roars is a 1932 film directed by Howard Hawks starring James Cagney and featuring Joan Blondell, Ann Dvorak, Eric Linden, Guy Kibbee, and Frank McHugh.

Plot

Motor racing champion Joe Greer (James Cagney) returns home to compete in a local race. His younger brother has aspirations of becoming a champion. During the race, Joe loses his nerve when another driver is killed allowing his brother to win. Joe's career plummets as his brother rises.
