Rajan Sarma is a Tamil film and Serial director of the 1980s. He also directed several Tele-films. Though he quits the Tamil film industry by only directed two feature films, he enters the Television field and directed many Television seriels on Doordarshan (Tamil), Sun TV, Vijay TV etc. He also directed a Malayalam Serial ' "Innaleyde Aalkkar" '. Currently he is teaching Film Making in Chennai Film Industrial School, Chennai.

He is also the founder of the Indian, True Cinema movement.
