Rose (TV personality)

Rose is a TV talk show host in Vijay TV in Tamil Nadu, India. He is the first transgender ever to host a TV talk show in India. The talk show, Ippadikku Rose deals with current affairs touching a wide variety of social issues including traditions, taboos, rebels and culture.

Personal Life

She was born and raised as a boy named Ramesh Venkatesan. Rose became aware of her feminity when she was young around five years old and felt uncomfortable being a boy. She started dressing as a woman when she was in her early twenties. Her family was devastated when she broke the secret to her family.

Her family even looked at marriage as a possible solution after she returned from US until they finally accepted her for who she is, although many in her family are still not willing to accept her sexuality. Education

She finished her high school in year 1997 in Sri Ramakrisha Mission Hr Sec School, Chennai. She studied Mechanical Engineering at Sathyabama Engineering College, Chennai between 1997 to 2001. She travelled to United States to study Biomedical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University between 2001 and 2004.
