Phillip Michael Lybrand (born April 7, 1984 is an American film director, film actor, producer and writer. He is a relative newcomer to the film industry, having graduated college in 2006, but has produced an impressive number of films in a short period of time. He is the founder and director of Greenless Pictures, a multimedia production company in Tucson, AZ.

Biography

Early life

Phillip Lybrand was born in Aberdeen, Maryland, USA, the son of Mary and Gary Lybrand. He has a younger sister, Magen. After graduating high school from Flowing Wells High School, Lybrand attended the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, where he majored in media arts. He graduated in 2006 and has lived and worked in Tucson since.

Career

Lybrand, like most independent filmmakers, has made a string of short films. His films have been screened each year at the TucsonFilm.com Shortfest since its inception in 2005. Lybrand is a regular at The Loft Cinema's First Friday Shorts monthly competition as well as the Tucson 48-Hour Film Shootout, a competition in which filmmakers are given 2 days to write, shoot, edit, and deliver a short film. Through his production company, Greenless Pictures, Lybrand plans on releasing his feature film directorial debut, "The Multiplex Massacre" on October 31, 2008.

Lybrand has appeared as an extra in multiple music videos for the American rock band Weezer. He's featured in the video for "Beverly Hills" as well as the MTV Hootenanny videos for "Pork and Beans," "Automatic," and "King."

Phillip has worked as a freelance production hand for a variety of national television programs, including SiTV's "Flow and Tell" and The WB's "Big Man On Campus."

Personal life

On July 2, 2006, Lybrand married his girlfriend of 4 years, Kelli Elizabeth Horan. The couple now resides in Tucson, AZ where Lybrand works as a video production professional while independently producing films through his production company, Greenless Pictures.
