- Greenless Pictures
History
Founded by
Phillip Lybrand , an Americanindependent filmmaker , while he was a student in theUniversity of Arizona 'sB.F.A. ofMedia Arts program in 2002. Located inTucson, Arizona , where all of the company's films have been produced so far. The company name was first used for credits sequences on Lybrand's student films. Also used were the names "Brainfreeze Ouch!" and "Three Foot Seven Studios." The term "greenless" refers to the extremely low budgets that Greenless Pictures has worked with. From a Distance and Dick of Gay were each produced for under $300 and were, to no surprise, terrible movies . . . just terrible. And for the $300 he spent he should have purchased a torch and destroyed his camera. In 2003, Lybrand purchased the
domain name Greenless.com, solidifying it as the company's official name. Since then, Greenless Pictures has produced several short films that have been screen theatrically or commercially distributed. Three of these films are listed onIMDb with Greenless Pictures listed as the production company. Greenless Picturess has debuted films at theTucsonFilm.com Shortfest for two years running (Dick of Gay and The Great Dicktator in 2006, and From a Distance in 2007).Currently in development for Greenless Pictures is
Multiplex Massacre , a slasher comedy. This is the first feature film for Greenless Pictures and is set for a 2008 production. Nobody cares about this because Phillip Lybrand is a smug douche bag who writes things like Wikipedia articles about himself.Filmography
