The Black Rock Peak (
Traditional Chinese : 烏石峰;Simplified Chinese : 乌石峰), or Wushi Peak, is ahill located inHangzhou ,Zhejiang Province ,People's Republic of China . It just faces to the Yuquan Campus ofZhejiang University .Introduction
The peak has an
altitude of only 125meter s, which is also relatively high in urban Hangzhou. Because the rocks on the hill are nearly black (seeing faraway), so people gave such name to the hill. It's also called as the Camel Peak by some Hongzhou local elders, probably due to its shape. The hill also has several historic sites including the Xiangjie (香界).Just down aside the hill (about 30 meters southwest), there's one of the most famous parks in Hangzhou - the Quyuan-Fenghe (曲院風荷, literally translation: "zigzaged garden with lotus blooms in wind")
