Libor Kozák (born May 30, 1989 in Brumov-Bylnice, Czechoslovakia, at that time Czechoslovakia) is a Czech professional football player.

Kozák is a Striker who plays for Italian Serie A club S.S. Lazio and for the Czech Republic national under-21 football team.

Career

FC Opava

Kozák played for Czech club Slezský FC Opava from 2001 to 2008. [ [http://www.sfc.cz/hraci.php?hrac=kozak SFC Opava] ] Considered a promising talent, Kozák was a prolific goalscorer in the Czech Second Division with Opava.

In January 2008, Kozák was on trial with English Premier League club Portsmouth F.C, however did not join Pompey. At the end of the season, Italian giants Lazio came calling and Kozák accepted a move to Rome.

Lazio

Kozák joined S.S. Lazio in July 2008, signing a five-year contract, the CTK agency said, adding that according to unofficial sources Lazio club president Claudio Lotito paid a 1.2 million euro (1.8 million dollars) transfer fee.
