Arik Marshall

Arik Marshall is an American musician best known as a short term member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Marshall originally played guitar in the band Marshall Law with his brother, Lonnie Marshall. He is originally from California where he grew up and attended high school.

Marshall now plays in Macy Gray's band. Arik and brother Lonnie released a Marshall Law album produced by Stone Gossard guitarist of Pearl JamFact|date=September 2008.

Marshall Law

Marshall Law was a band formed in 1988 by Marshall and his brother Lonnie Marshall. They signed a development deal with a record label and recorded a demo for them. The band broke up having only released two tracks on a Ska Parade compilation. Marshall Law released their debut album another X-cuse in 2006

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Marshall joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1992 to replace John Frusciante. He played the Lollapalooza festival with the band in 1992. Marshall also appeared with the band in the Simpsons episode "Krusty Gets Kancelled" and both the "Breaking the Girl" and "If You Have to Ask" music videos, even though he didn't play on either song. Marshall left the Chili Peppers in 1993 and was replaced by Jesse Tobias. It is also stated in Anthony Kiedis' biography that Marshall took awards for the Blood Sugar Sex Magik album, after John Frusciante left the band.
