Standing over 152 m (499 ft) from the ground, it ranks as the third tallest twin tower in South Asia. WTCC runs under the management of Overseas Realty Ceylon plc (better known as ORCPLC). ORCPLC is a part of Mireka Capital Land (pvt) Ltd which owns the Havelock City Project, one of the largest residential projects in Asia. The WTCC was opened on 12 October, 1997 by the former Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga. The tower consists of two identical 40-storey towers, the east and the west towers.
