Sri Lanka . The project will consist of nine individual towers:* Tower 1 - 22 floors (also called "Park Tower", part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 2 - 22 floors (also called "Elibank Tower", part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 3 - 22 floors (part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 4 - 22 floors (part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 5 - 27 floors (part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 6 - 27 floors (part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 7 - 29 floors (part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 8 - 29 floors (part of the "Residential Component")
* Tower 9 - ?? floors (also called as the "Commercial Component")The entire project will be separated into four different phases, each consisting of two identical twin towers. The current phase ("Phase-1") is now under
construction , which consists of the "Elibank" & "Park" towers. Phase-1 is scheduled to complete, and open to public, in August 2008. Whereas the entire project is scheduled to be completed by 2010. Towers 1-to-8 is known as the "Residential Component", whereas Tower-9 is known as the "Commercial Component".Architectures & Developers of the project
The architectures and designers of the project is the "East China Architecture Design & Research Institute Co. Ltd" also abbreviated as
ECADI . Havelock City is being developed and managed by "Mireka Capital Land (pvt) Ltd", which is a joint venture between "Overseas Reality (Ceylon) PLC" (also known as "ORCPLC"), and "BoC", which is the largest bank inSri Lanka . The board of directors, of "Mireka Capital Land (pvt) Ltd", are as follows:* Mr. S. P. Tao (chairman)

* Mr. Ralph de LanerolleMr. S. P. Tao is also the chairman of "Shing Kwan Group of Singapore", which is the majority shareholder of "ORCPLC". "ORCPLC" currently holds 60% of shares in the project, while BoC owns the remaining 40%.
Structural Details & Location
Havelock City is being constructed on a massive convert|76890|m2|acre|0|lk=on land, which was once the permises of the
Wellawatta Spinning & Weaving Mills . Now, after the demolition of the weaving company, this convert|76890|m2|acre|0|abbr=on bare land is the largest single-site clearing in the entire capitalColombo . "Havelock" is easily known as one of the largest and most prestigious residential projects ever taken-out in Asia-Pacific, it will also own one of the largest underground carparks in the continent; about the size of threerugger fields.The "Residential Component" would consists 1,080 high-class apartments, whereas the "Commercial Component" would consist 200 rooms of serviced-apartments, and 300 rooms of business-class hotels. The project is also sometimes tagged as "Come home to the city" and "City within a City", as it will also consist some additional "components" which will make the project look like "an individual city". The project consists additional components such as:
* A large shopping mall (with department stores)
* Ahypermarket
* Amultiplex cinema
* And shops, cafés, restaurants, etc.The following will be constructed/located on landscaped gardens which will be located on the rooftop of the above-listed components (which is grouped as the "Mall"):
* Aswimming pool
* Health club (with gymnasium)
* 2Tennis courts
* Dining areas (for the "Residential Component" / Hotel)Havelock City would consist additional recreational facilities such as:
* Clubhouses with function-rooms and barbecue-pits

* Boulder garden withwaterfall The "residential component" is shaped like an eight-piece numerical "8", which is designed for perfect sunlight and cross-ventilation across the project. Havelock City is located near the outskirts of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Just next to the Kirulapana Canal, which leads to the shoreline at about a convert|1.12|km|mi|abbr=on distance.
