British Indian Army it was formed in 1922 by the amalgamation of the14th Murray's Jat Lancers and the15th Lancers (Cureton's Multanis) who can trace there history back to theIndian Mutiny and were involved in theSecond Afghan War theGreat War andWorld War II .14th Murrays Jat Lancers
Raised at Aligarth in 1857 by Captain J I Murray as the Jat Horse
Yeomanry for theBritish East India Company . Like all regiments of theBritish Indian Army the 14th Murray’s Jat Lancers underwent many name changes in the various reorganisations. Great War they were attached to the7th Indian Cavalry Brigade in theMesopotamia Campaign . In 1918 it fought at theBattle of Sharqat and was present at the occupation ofMosul at the end of the campaign, shortly after the armistice.15th Lancers (Cureton's Multanis)

Lahore in 1858 by Captain C Cureton from six risallahs ofMultani Pathans raised in 1857 byGhulam Hasan Khan originally called The Multani Regiment of Cavalry they also under went many name changes listed below::1860 Curton's Multani Regiment:1861 15th Regiment of Bengal Cavalry:1871 15th (Cureton's Multani) Regiment of Bengal Cavalry:1890 15th (Curton's Multani) Regiment of Bengal Lancers:1901 15th (Curton's Multani) Bengal Lancers:1903 15th Lancers (Curton's Multanis)
