List of Afghan security forces fatality reports in Afghanistan

This is a partial list of Afghan security forces members killed in the War in Afghanistan (2001-present).

Besides serving as an indicator of some of the numbers of policemen, soldiers and private military contractors (PMC's) deaths during specific time periods, this article allows readers to investigate the circumstances of those deaths by reading the citation articles.

Totals

Through September 28 2008 approximately 3,150 policemen, 671 soldiers and 196 private security guards were reported to have been killed.

2008

Between March 16, 2008 and September 16, 2008 an estimated 720 policemen were confirmed to have been killed.
