History

* 1995: Founded by Dag Asheim
* On July 1 2005, the company announced [http://php.digi.no/php/art.php?id=218473] that it would provide summer training and certification courses in Linux Systems administration (up to LPI level 1) free of charge for women as an initiative to do something about the low ratio of females in the computing industry, especially in the Linux systems field. The response was overwhelming and positive, but it also sparked some controversy from some men, who claimed that the initiative was sexist and discriminatory, as male participants would still have to pay the course fee.
* 20th May 2008: The Swedish software company Redpill acquires Linpro.
