With a second branch in Dwarka it has now grown to total over 3000 students. Offering courses in science, commerce and humanities, the co-educational institution is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The principal is Mr. V.K. Williams. The schools are run by a registered educational society called Mount Carmel School Society and recalls a Protestant church-based organization.

Anand Niketan
Mount Carmel School was established in a room at Anand Niketan, New Delhi on 10th July 1972, with 12 students. This branch now has nearly 2,500 students, a staff of 150 and two buildings: the Junior School, housing students from nursery to Class III; and the Senior School for Classes IV to Class XII.
The management of the Anand Niketan is involved in an adult literacy programme. Students from Class XI visit Kanak Durga slum dwellers three times each week.
Dwarka
The Dwarka branch was established in April 1997, in the silver jubilee year of the original school. The 165 student body has grown to 1,800 following an upgrade to Secondary level. Following a move to an independent site in April 2002, a pre-school block was opened two years later. The school has been upgraded to Senior Secondary.
The Principal is Dr. (Mrs.) Neena M Williams.
