Hale railway station serves the area of Hale in the south of Altrincham, Greater Manchester, England. It is located on Ashley Road. It is on the route from Chester to Manchester Piccadilly, the Mid-Cheshire Line, (8miles) south west of Manchester Piccadilly.

History

The station opened as Peel Causeway by the Cheshire Midland Railway on 12 May 1862 when the railway opened from Altrincham to Knutsford. This line later became part of the Cheshire Lines Committee. The station became Peel Causeway for Hale in 1900 and in 1902 it became Hale.

ervice

Monday to Saturday there is generally an hourly service from Hale to Manchester Piccadilly eastbound and Chester westbound.

Sundays five trains a day go to Chester and Altrincham, with the Manchester Metrolink connecting to Manchester city centre.
