June 2008President Dmitry Medvedev Preceded by Bob Tyson Personal details Born 1963 Nationality Australian Alma mater University of Melbourne Margaret Aileen Twomey (born 1963) is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to the Russian Federation, having taken up her post in June 2008.[1] Twomey has an honours degree in Arts (Russian and French) from the University of Melbourne and speaks Russian.
