KQEG-CA is a low-power television station licensed to La Crescent, Minnesota, with studios and offices in La Crosse, Wisconsin, serving La Crosse, Wisconsin, television markets on channel 23. Prior to January 27, 2006, the station was also an affiliate of UPN. The station is owned by White Eagle Partners. Although the station is affiliated with FamilyNet, its programming is often pre-empted by the station, who promotes themselves as independent.

FamilyNet programming is pre-empted much of the evening, so in addition to network programming, KQEG also carries high school sports, La Crosse Speedway Knights of Thunder, selected parades, many specials and evening movies, repeats of WXOW's 6:00 news, and a handful of local programs including "Bargain House" and "Coulee Conversations," a local talk show.

On January 27, 2006, KQEG announced that they would drop UPN effective immediately [http://www.lacrossetribune.com/articles/2006/01/27/news/z00cwcompetition.txt] and switch to more general-interest and local programming (most likely due to the formation of The CW from the merger of UPN and The WB). It was soon replaced on cable in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with the new UPN affiliate WKBT-DT2.

White Eagle Partners also owns a construction permit for W45CF in Elk Mound, intended as a translator of KQEG-CA, but the station is not on air.
