"Raisin" is a musical theatre adaptation of the Lorraine Hansberry play "A Raisin in the Sun", with songs by Judd Woldin and Robert Brittan, and a musical book by Robert Nemiroff (who was Hansberry's former husband) and Charlotte Zaltzberg.

It opened on Broadway on October 18, 1973 at the 46th Street Theatre, after being first presented in Washington D.C., and closed on December 8, 1975 after 847 performances. "Raisin" won the Tony Award for Best Musical.

Donald McKayle was the director and choreographer, and the show featured Virginia Capers (who also headlined the national tour) Joe Morton, Debbie Allen, Ralph Carter, Helen Martin and Ted Ross.

In 2006 it was revived at Court Theatre in Chicago, with Ernestine Jackson, who formerly played the role of Ruth, playing the role of Lena Younger. It was also performed in 2008 at Dillard University's theatre with BJ Crosby playing Lena
