Standard design

Standard Design, aka Tom Pappalardo (born 1973) is a Northampton, Massachusetts graphic designer, cartoonist, illustrator, and animator best known for his work for WFCR, his animated TV ads (including his 2006 contest-winning entry for LAZER 99.3), a grant-funded mural located in downtown Easthampton, Massachusetts, and his rock poster designs [ [http://www.gigposters.com/designer/556_Standard_Design.html Standard Design posters on gigposters.com] ] . His poster work has appeared in gallery exhibitions including the Graphic Noise exhibition (Museum of Design, Atlanta, Georgia 2005), Yinz Got Posters - (AIR Studios, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 2007), Art or Advertisement? (Charleston, South Carolina, 2007), and Screens and Beans (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 2008).

Pappalardo's past comic work includes "FORTY-3", The official Massachusetts College of Art comic journal (1992-1994, editor and contributor), "Alec Dear" (1996, writer) illustrated by Matt Smith, for which they received a Xeric grant, Caliber Comics' "Through the Wood, Beneath the Moon" (1998, writer), the self-published collection "Failure, Incompetence - Aborted Jokes and Abandoned Stories" (2005), and the self-published collection "Famous Fighters" (2006), with Matt Smith.
