Leroy Walker (boxer)

Leroy Walker was a professional American Lightweight boxer from Miami, Florida. Walker was a slick boxer whom used the entire ring to his advantage. He was very hard to hit and relied on his boxing skills.

He began his pro career on June 20, 1972 at the Miami Marine Stadium on Key Biscayne and outpointed Joe Lacca over four rounds. Walker fought tough Ricky Samaratana three times and defeated him twice. On April 2, 1974 Walker lost an eight round decision to veteran Isaac Ike Hooks at Miami Beach.

Walker's most impressive win came when he outpointed wiley veteran Joe Cartwright over eight rounds at Miami Beach.

Walker also fought a few fights in California. On May 21, 1975 Walker lost on a Technical knockout in the eighth round of a scheduled ten round fight to then undefeated Maurice "Termite" Watkins at the Circle Star Theatre in San Carlos, California. Watkins at the time was undefeated in sixteen fights.

Leroy Walker's unofficial professional record was seven wins and four losses.
