Tony Myatt

Tony Myatt

Tony Myatt is a UK radio presenter. He has previously worked at the BBC, on Channel 4, on Jazz FM, on Capital Radio, on PrimeTime Radio, Radio Mercury and on Saga DAB radio stations. He is credited by many as the first man to play Kate Bush on the radio and also interviewed her 'live' on his Capital Radio show.

Tony hosted a very popular 'Beat the Intro' telephone quiz on Capital Radio in 1974/1975 whereby listeners were asked the name of the piece of music before the singer started.

In the early to mid 80's, Tony hosted a popular request show on BBC World Service radio called the "Tony Myatt Request Show". Listeners wrote in from various parts of the world to request songs and dedications. This show was also hosted by Sandi Jones (aptly called the "Sandi Jones Request Show"). The two presenters used to take turns for almost a quarter each, alternately.

Tony is now heard hosting the overnight show on 102.2 Smooth Radio in London.
