- Anton Foljambe
Anton Foljambe (b. 1972 in
Christchurch ) is the Chairman of theNational Democrats Party (NDP) in New Zealand. He has participated in various fringe-right organisations in New Zealand. He was the founder of the anti-communist lobby group, the Conservative Front in 1987, and was a leading figure in the NF for several years, however he left due to ideological differences and what he condemned as the racialist bigotry of many members. He formed the NDP in 1999, in an attempt to build an ultra-conservative party without any racialist baggage, but the party met with limited success. He supported the efforts of
Kyle Chapman during 2004-2006 to make the National Front more "respectable", but when Chapman resigned as NF leader, Foljambe saw this as an opportunity to re-launch the NDP. Chapman ran for Mayor of Christchurch on the NDP ticket in 2007.Foljambe has stood unsuccessfully for parliament and council office on several occasions. He publishes an online viewsletter called "The Conservative Rightist".
