The Philadelphia Thunder are a junior "A" ice hockey team that will play in the new United Junior Hockey League in 2008. The team plays their home games at The Rink Ice Arena in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

Franchise History

The team was formed in 2006 as a member of the America East Hockey League (AEHL) from 2006 until 2008 as the Delaware Thunder. After the 2007-2008 season in the AEHL the team announced a move to the Philadelphia Metro Area and to the new United Junior Hockey League. The team will join 5 other teams, 3 from the AEHL, for the first season UJHL in Fall 2008.
