The United Junior Hockey League is an independent Junior "A" ice hockey league scheduled to begin play in the 2008-09 season. The season is planned to be 55 games long, with two showcase tournaments to be held in addition to the league's playoffs. League History

The league was created in 2008 when three teams – the Penn Enforcers, Philadelphia Thunder, and Wooster Oilers transferred from the America East Hockey League to form the UJHL along with the additional expansion teams - Findlay Grrrowl and Cleveland HC. The league will operate as an independent league for the 2008-2009 season but many of the teams plan to have NAHL connections and League owners plan to become USA Hockey Sanctioned in the future.
