Tim Vickery

Tim Vickery

Tim Vickery (born 1965) is an English football journalist who has lived in Brazil since 1994. He currently serves as the South American football correspondent for the BBC, writing a weekly column for the corporation online. Vickery also frequently writes for World Soccer magazine. He is a lifelong supporter of Tottenham Hotspur F.C. where he used to be known as Vickery Vickery Block.

He is perhaps best known for his work on "The World Football Phone-In," whichs airs weekly as part of "Up All Night" on BBC Radio 5 on Saturday mornings. On the show Vickery is known as the Legendinho for his vast knowledge of South American football. He is also renowned for his side-splitting imitation of a Brazillian commentator pronouncing the names Woodgate and Wright-Phillips; a repertoire he has performed with great hilarity on the World Football Phone-In.

In 2008, World Soccer Daily contacted Tim Vickery and made him their South American correspondent. He has since been nicknamed 'Vikipedia' for his vast knowledge of South American football.

Tim is possibly the greatest sports journalist on the face of the earth, providing his millions of fans, with delightful articles about South American football.
