Beijing Subway/Airport
The Airport Express of the Beijing Subway is an express rail line that runs from Dongzhimen to the Beijing Capital International Airport northeast of the city. This express line has only four stops: Dongzhimen (with transfers to Lines 2 and 13), Sanyuanqiao (with transfers to Line 10), and Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 of the Capital Airport. The one-way flat fare is Y25. The line entered operation on July 19, 2008. Construction began in 2005. Most of the 27-km of tracks are on the surface, except for a 4-km segment between Dongzhimen and Sanyuanqiao, minor crossings underneath existing railways lines and the terminal connection within the airport. The Airport Express runs in the following sequence: Dongzhimen → Sanyuanqiao → Terminal 3 → Terminal 2 → Sanyuanqiao → Dongzhimen.
The line uses Bombardier Advanced Rapid Transit technology, with a fleet of 40 locally assembled Mk II vehicles. [http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0EIN/is_2006_March_20/ai_n16110525]
