Indianapolis Youth Chorale

The Indianapolis Youth Chorale is the Advance High School Division of the internationally-recognized Indianapolis Children's Choir founded by Henry Leck. IYC was formed in 1994 and saw several conductors until 2003 when it came under the leadership of Cheryl E. West. One of the premiere high school ensembles in the United States, it has a long list of performance honors. Along with being featured in WYFI's critically acclaimed "In Endless Song," IYC has performed alongside the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Dennis DeYoung, and The Four Freshmen. They have performed by audition for the IMEA, the Central Division of the ACDA and the International Violin Competition. They have toured extensively throughout the U.S., South America, Canada and Europe where they have performed in the Vatican for Pope John Paul the Second. They have also performed in the Duomo, Melk Abbey, and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Among their discography, is "South America Tour," "Awakenings," and "Making Spirits Bright."
