Anna de Medici (
December 31 ,1569 -February 19 ,1584 ) was the third child ofFrancesco I de' Medici andJohanna of Austria . Her maternal grandparents wereFerdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor andAnna of Bohemia and Hungary while her paternal grandparents wereCosimo I de' Medici andEleonora di Toledo .In 1578 when Anna was nine her mother died, her father then marriedBianca Capello . She was one of seven children, two of her siblings were,Eleonora de' Medici (March 1 ,1566 –September 9 ,1611 ), who marriedVincenzo I Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua (1582-1612) andMarie de' Medici (1573 – 1642), who became Queen of France by her marriage toHenri IV in 1600, Marie was also the mother ofLouis XIII of France, Anna and the rest of her siblings died in childhood. Anna died on the 19 February 1584 at the age of fourteen.She is a descendent of Spanish monarchs through her mother such a
Isabella of Castile ,Joanna of Castile andPhilip I of Castile . Through her father her ancesters are theMedici family, such as her paternal grandfatherCosimo I de' Medici .
