Niall McGarry

Niall McGarry (Born March 6, 1978 in Castlebar, Mayo) is an Irish businessman and entrepreneur.

After graduating with a degree in Marketing Management and a time in advertising sales, McGarry set up Impact Media in Galway in 2003, an advertising, marketing and digital agency. Since winning the Shell LiveWire West of Ireland Young Entrepreneur award in 2004, the company has grown significantly. McGarry is also a regular contributor to Spin South West and Galway Bay FM on advertising and business matters. In 2006 McGarry initiated the Elevate Awards, aimed at helping business start ups.

Elevate Awards

McGarry set up the Elevate Awards in 2006. The scheme aims to seek out promising Galway businesses and assist them with a €40,000 package consisting of marketing consultancy, graphic design, signage, printing and advertising. Winners of the competition to date have been locallotto.ie (2006) and Call Jeeves (2007). The third Elevate award will be awarded in August 2008.
