Oakwood College andAmerican Intercontinental University , Brisé worked as the vice president of a telecommunications company before entering politics. In the crowded race for Miami-Dade's open Democratic seat, Brisé triumphed in District 108 over fellow Democrats Kathy Emery, Hans Laurenceau, Eddie Lewis and Peter Walsh. Brisé, who boasted the endorsement of Brutus, the previous representative for that area, and would face Republican Prospero Herrera II, a former Miami Shores councilman, in November. Ronald A. Brisé was born on June 12, 1974 to Roland Brisé, a Pastor with the 7th Day Adventist Assembly for more than thirty (30) years and Nicole Henry, his wife for Thirty Six (36) years
Brisé has resided in Miami-Dade County for the past Twenty Four (24) years. He attended High School at Miami Union Academy (established in 1917), where he was part of the Student Government, Co-Captain of the Basketball Team, Class Officer and Officer in Honor Society. He was nominated to "Who's Who Among America's High School Students" and was selected to represent the State of Florida at the Congressional Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. in 1992.As an adult, Mr. Brise later returned to Miami Union Academy where he served as Chairperson of the Science Department, Sponsor for the Student Government, Basketball Coach, Trumpet Coach and Vice-President of the Teacher's Association. He is currently the Vice-President of the Miami Union Academy 's Alumni Association. Ronald graduated from Oakwood College in
Huntsville, Alabama , with degrees in Biology and Biology Education. He later earned two MBA's, one in Marketing and the other in Management at American Intercontinental University . He is currently the Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of IPIP Corp., an international telecommunications carrier based in Miami , Florida . Brise is a member of several Professional and Civic Organizations that include: The National Science Teachers Association, The Adventist Science Educators Association, The Adventist Black Educators Association, The American Association for the Advancement of Science, the NAACP and the Haitian American Scholarship Fund. Brise was elected to the
Florida House of Representatives in 2006, succeeding Honorable Philip J. Brutus as Representative from the 108th District, which encompasses the communities of North Miami, Miami Shores, Pinewood, Biscayne Gardens, El Portal, Biscayne Park, and a portion of Miami. Once elected, Brise gained bipartisan support for diverse legislation.Committees
