Brian Cass (musician)

Brian Cass ( born 1977 in Fall River, Massachusetts) is a multi-instrumentalist electronic musician who lives and performs in New York City. Also known as 13rian and is mostly known for his work as one-man-band : The Overclock Orchestra.

Brian Cass graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. While a student at Berklee he was assistant to Dr. Richard Boulanger, while completing The Csound Book for MIT Press. Cass simultaneously worked as assistant to audio engineer Rob Pemberton at the Sound Station Seven recording studio in Providence, Rhode Island.

From 1999-2003, Cass worked as multi-instrumentalist, engineer and producer for The Toe Jam Puppet Band (a children's entertainment group) and Gala Jive Jut (an electronic jazz fusion quartet) both from New Bedford, Massachusetts. During this time, Cass took on 3 year-old guitar prodigy Quinn Sullivan as a student.

After relocating to New York City in 2004, Cass has been involved with Puremagnetik developing sound content for the Puremagnetik catalog as well as Ableton Live and Native Instruments sound libraries. As one-man-band The Overclock Orchestra, Cass has been involved, as performer and organiser, in many electronic performance events, most notably the Warper Party.

Brian Cass's other production credits include - programmer for Jordan Rudess on the 2007 Dream Theatre album - Systematic Chaos. Audio Engineer on the 2008 Porter Block release - Off Our Shoulders. Audio Engineer for the American Museum of Natural History Cosmic Collisions Planetarium FIlm. Audio Engineer, Composer and Sound Design for many television and radio advertisements.
