The 30th Airlift Squadron (30 AS) is part of the 463d Airlift Group. It is the Air Force's first active-duty associate unit, working with the 187th Airlift Squadron at Cheyenne Regional Airport, Wyoming. It operates C-130 Hercules aircraft conducting tactical airlift missions.

Mission

History

The 30th ferried bombers and P-38 aircraft over the North Atlantic route to England from, August 1942-August 1943. It provided air transport for the Atlantic Division of the Military Air Transport Service from, July 1952-June 1965 and conducted worldwide airlift from, August 1967 including support for operations in Southwest Asia from, August 1990-June 1991.
