Borzai

The Borzuy also spelled as Borzai", Burzai"' is a large tribe of Afghanistan, with 13 sub-tribes mainly in western Afghanistan and Southern Kandahar. The name of the tribe was well recorded by the Indians prior to 400 Ad. However one of the most famous Afghan physician from this tribe came under the court of Sassanid also identified himself by his sir name Borzuy. His work was very important, and due to the fact Afghans and Indians were so close, living under Sassanid he managed to translate Sanskrit book of Panchatantra into Pahlavi. Later known in Arabic as Kalila and Dimna.
