List of 2008 National Hockey League all-stars

The 2008 National Hockey League All-Star Game was the 56th midseason exhibition between the all-stars of the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference, the two conferences comprising the National Hockey League. The Eastern Conference defeated the Western Conference by a score of 8–7. Carolina Hurricane and Eastern Conference player Eric Staal was the Most Valuable Player of the 2008 all-star game, with two goals and one assist. Columbus Blue Jacket and Western Conference player Rick Nash scored the most goals in the game, with three, and thus had a hat trick. In the Eastern Conference, Rick DiPietro, Evgeni Malkin, Andrei Markov, Mike Richards, Marc Savard, Jason Spezza, and Tim Thomas all appeared in the all-star game for the first time in their career. In the Western Conference, Ryan Getzlaf, Shawn Horcoff, Duncan Keith, Anze Kopitar, Manny Legace, Corey Perry, Mike Ribeiro, and Henrik Sedin made their first appearances at the 2008 all-star game. Niklas Lidstrom made his 10th appearance for the Western Conference. In the Eastern Conference, Sidney Crosby led the Eastern Conference voting ballot to gain a forward starting position with 507,274 votes, but was injured and was replaced by Evgeni Malkin.
