The Inkwell, also known as The Octagon House, is an historic octagonal house located on U.S. 264 east of Lake Landing on Lake Mattamuskeet near Engelhard, North Carolina. It was built in 1855 by Dr. William T. Sparrow. It is now houses the Partnership for the Sounds and is open two days a week.
