Ashok Tanwar

Ashok Tanwar is current president of Indian Youth Congress since 2005.He is the youngest person to take over this prestigious position.Originally from the Jhajjar area of Haryana, he has been a student of Jawaharlal Nehru University centre for Historical studies and started his career as an activist of the NSUI in JNU. Tanwar took over as the NSUI secretary in 1999 and became its president in 2003.

He is married to Avantika Maken, Daughter of late Lalit Maken and grand daughter of former Indian President Late Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
