hotellocated in New York City. The hotel has won many awards such as "Best Boutique Hotel-2007" according to CitySearch.com. It also has 72 guestrooms and an event space on the 12th floor. BarnaRestaurant is located on the bottom floor of the hotel.
Hotel Giraffe is located at the Northeast corner of
Park AvenueSouth and 26th street. Many Zagattop-rated eateries(Eleven Madison park, Tabla, Union Squarecafe, and GramercyTavern) are within walking distance of the hotel.
Hotel Giraffe is part of
HKHotels, a hotel collection that is owned by Henry Kallan. There are four hotels within the HK Collection; The Hotel Giraffe, The Casablanca, The Library, and The Hotel Elysee.
Hotel Giraffe opened its doors as an operating hotel in 1909. Hotel Giraffe has been upgraded several times in the last decade. Henry Kallan, the owner, re-opened the Hotel Giraffe again in 2000 with a different modern European style.
Architect Stephen Jacobs and his wife, interior designer Andi Pepper were in charge of the design of the building when Henry Kallan opened Hotel Giraffe in 2000.
Guestrooms at Hotel Giraffe are each inspired by the rich lavish colors and textures of the Modern Period. Hotel Giraffe offers 73 guestrooms, including 21 suites. Accommodations are offered in two categories, superior and deluxe. Guestrooms, only seven to a floor, boast 10' ceilings, antique-rose velveteen upholstered chairs and ottomans, black and white original photographs from the '20s and '30s.All the guest rooms are equipped with the following amenities • Flat Panel television • Mini bar and safe in each room • Down Blankets • 100% Egyptian cotton linen • Signature bathrobes • Slippers • Hairdryer • iHome MP3 Dock / Alarm Clock Radio • Complimentary bottled water upon arrival • Iron/ Ironing board • Signature Hotel Giraffe umbrella

The Piano suite with
Park AvenueTerrace and the Roof Garden can each be rented separately for smaller events, or together for larger events. The Piano Suite can accommodate up to 30 people conference-style, up to 40 for a seated dinner, or up to 65 for a reception. The entire Penthouse can accommodate up to 125 for a reception.

Hotel Giraffe was just recently featured in Sex and the City: The Movie. The Piano Suite was transformed into Mr. Big's apartment. "The penthouse at Hotel Giraffe stood in for "Big's" apartment in the film; other scenes were shot in this European-style hotel as well. To coincide with the film, the Hotel is now offering a "Divas Only Weekend."
