Which Simpson Character is Gay?
The issue features a parody of the popular animated series "
The Simpsons ", which isn't really a parody, more of a test. The question is "Wich Simpson character is gay?", on theWarner Brothers commercial page, several examples are given:
The Comic Book Guy, Never seen with a girlfriend, wait, that's because he's a comic book guy, not because he's gay, sorry.Snowball II , who says all those hairballs she caughs up came from her?Moe Syszlak , He's around drinking guys a lot... things happen
Below the page a picture ofKrusty the Clown putting on lipstick is shown. Two and a Half Wits
Inside the Issue is also a five-page parody of the the award-winning
CBS Sitcom "Two and a Half Men ". It's called "Two and a Half Wits" and the artwork is done by MAD artist Tom Richmond. Richmond, who never watches TV himselfcite web |url=http://www.tomrichmond.com/blog/?p=254|title=The Wall of Shame, Part Deux|work=Two and a Half Men in Mad Magazine|publisher=Tom's MAD Blog|accessdate=2008-05-27]TIVO ed some of the episodes and found it very amusing. Before the issue came out, the shows creatorChuck Lorre contacted Richmond for the artwork, since he was incredibly excited about his show being in MAD Magazine. Richmond sent Lorre the artwork and an oversized copy of the splash to get some autographes. Even though Richmond found himself a little bit hard on the characteristic version of actorJon Cryer , since he gave him huge lips and no chin (because Richmond was nicknamed Duckie in high school, as a result to close resamblance to Cryer in the film "Pretty in Pink "), the splash came back with autographes of the complete cast (including Cryer). The article was released under the tagline:"Are you bored with half what's on TV?, Do you think the writing is half-assed?, Do you have half a mind to skip this intro?, Too late"cite web |url=http://www2.warnerbros.com/madmagazine/files/onthestands/ots_450/twits.html|title=MAD Magazine, On the Stands|work=Two and a Half Wits in this Month's MAD|publisher=
