Scarcliffe railway station was a former railway station in
Scarcliffe ,Derbyshire . It was opened by theLancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed byBritish Rail in 1951It was built at the eastern entrance of the Bolsover Tunnel at 521feet above sea level, the summit of the line.
