The North Dakota Progressive Coalition (or the NDPC) was a community-based grassroots non-profit organization that championed economic and social justice issues. The Coalition was composed of 33 groups from across the state and individual supporters. The Executive Director of the NDPC was Don Morrison.

In September 2006, the North Dakota Progressive Coalition was reorganized and changed its name to NDPeople.org. It's educational organization became the North Dakota Center for the Public Good. The NDCPG focuses on voter education, providing public forums, and other soft tactics, in contrast to NDPeople.org.

NDPeople.org is a non-profit, non-partisan political organization with the goal of advancing economic and social justice in North Dakota. One of the successors to the North Dakota Progressive Coalition, it focuses on hard tactics, including political advertising, to advance its positions on issues, in contrast with the North Dakota Center for the Public Good.

NDPeople.Org ran political radio ads attacking North Dakota House of Representatives Majority Leader Rick Berg over his support of tax breaks for oil exploration in the state during the 2006 election season. Berg was re-elected to the North Dakota State House of Representatives in 2006, though members of the Democratic-NPL won the other House seat and the Senate seat in his district.
